Associate Attorney - Antitrust Litigation
Location: Philadelphia, PA
HYBRID (3 days/week in-office)
Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 international law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their premier Antitrust & Competition practice in Philadelphia.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work on high-profile antitrust litigation, government investigations, merger reviews, and compliance counseling matters. The successful candidate will advise sophisticated clients across a broad range of industries while collaborating with accomplished practitioners on some of the most complex competition matters in the marketplace.
Candidate Profile

JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
-
Active Bar Admission in Pennsylvania, in good standing

4+ years of substantive antitrust experience in private practice, the Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, or a comparable governmental agency

Significant experience litigating antitrust disputes and/or representing clients in government investigations

Strong knowledge of Section 1 and Section 2 antitrust theories and merger analysis under Clayton Act Section 7

Experience advising clients on antitrust compliance, distribution practices, competitive collaborations, and non-compete arrangements

Demonstrated deposition, motion practice, and complex legal drafting experience

Strong writing, analytical, advocacy, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage sophisticated matters with a high degree of autonomy and sound business judgment

Experience interacting directly with the FTC and DOJ strongly preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in complex antitrust litigation in federal and state courts

Counsel clients through civil and criminal antitrust investigations conducted by the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission

Advise clients on merger reviews, conduct investigations, and antitrust compliance matters

Analyze competitive practices and provide strategic guidance regarding distribution arrangements, joint ventures, collaborations, and other competition-related issues

Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, investigative submissions, and compliance materials

Conduct witness preparation, depositions, and factual investigations

Collaborate with multidisciplinary legal teams on high-stakes client matters

Monitor developments in antitrust law and enforcement trends to provide proactive client counseling

Competitive Salary: Expected annual base salary range is $280,000+, as determined by experience and market factors
