We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to take on the role of Swiss Programmer/Grinder Support Technician. This pivotal position involves creating and maintaining CNC programs for cylindrical grinding and Swiss CNC machines, alongside developing setup instructions and updating existing programs using the latest CAM software. The ideal candidate will document tooling and setup procedures to enhance the efficiency of machine operators and machinists during part-to-part changeovers, while also leading continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain CNC programs for grinding and Swiss operations using the latest CAM technology.
• Document tooling and setup procedures to streamline machine operations.
• Lead projects aimed at continuous improvement and efficient equipment selection.
• Collaborate on new equipment selection and implementation, focusing on grinding and Swiss applications.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or two years of technical training in machine tool technology or a related field.
• Experience in programming turning operations, with a focus on grinding and Swiss operations.
• Proficiency in MasterCAM Mill is advantageous.
• Competency in using CAD (Solidworks) to create CAM programs is desired.
• Experience in setting up and operating a variety of CNC grinding and Swiss machining centers.
• Strong leadership skills for mentoring and project management.
• Ability to analyze data and present findings to support process, tooling, or machine modifications.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with design engineers, machinists, operators, and inspection staff.
• Proficient in using Excel and ERP software for tracking consumables and maintenance schedules.
