Our client is seeking candidates with strong outside sales experience. They are open to training on their products, but require solid job stability and tenure. Personality is a key factor for this role — they are looking for energetic, results‑driven individuals who take initiative and “get things done.” The company is growing and expects to hire up to three sales representatives.

OTE can be $100k if they are good!

Job Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by building strong customer relationships and promoting parts, service, and equipment rental solutions across the Baytown market. This role blends outside sales, customer support, and service coordination, requiring a motivated, energetic professional who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Successful candidates are proactive, mechanically inclined, and skilled at identifying customer needs while delivering a high-quality service experience from first contact through follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers by responding to inquiries, greeting walk-ins, and identifying equipment or forklift concerns
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent, proactive communication
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and generate new business across parts, service, and rental solutions
  • Conduct regular follow-ups regarding service needs, maintenance programs, and rental opportunities
  • Promote preventative maintenance plans, warranty options, and value-added service solutions
  • Partner with service technicians to assess equipment issues and repair requirements
  • Assist with basic equipment evaluations through visual inspections or operational checks
  • Prepare accurate repair estimates, timelines, and service recommendations
  • Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required components
  • Monitor repair progress and communicate updates, delays, or changes to customers
  • Create, update, and manage service work orders with accurate documentation
  • Record customer approvals, declined repairs, and service recommendations 
  • Review invoices and billing details for accuracy and completeness
  • Recommend additional service solutions, maintenance plans, and rental options Identify upsell opportunities for parts, rentals, and service offerings while maintaining a customer-first approach
  • Support office and field service operations as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2 years of customer service, sales, or service coordination experience preferred
  • Heavy equipment or industrial equipment experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and follow-up abilities
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Experience in industrial, mechanical, automotive, construction, or material handling industries is a plus
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of troubleshooting concepts
  • Familiarity with forklifts or material handling equipment preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using ERP, CRM, or service management software preferred
